Education
Graduated high school in NY in 2008 with a 3.8 GPA. Attended Penn State for two years. I am currently attending the University of West Georgia with a 3.8 GPA. I am senior working on two degrees, Business Management and Corporate Finance, and will be graduating within a year. After which I will be moving on to graduate school to get my MBA.
Experience
I don't have any formal tutoring experience, but I do have a lot of informal experience. I raised and tutored my younger brother for the last 3 years of his high school education. He has ADD and Dyslexia/Dysgraphia. When he moved in with me his sophomore year he was failing many of his subjects. He graduated last year with a B average and will soon be attending college. I am very adept in both learning and explaining subjects and concepts to others. I was able to tutor my brother through Spanish 1 and 2 even though I have never taken any Spanish courses and don't speak Spanish. I taught myself it from his books well enough to teach him and help him pass. (I am not interested in tutoring foreign languages though) I feel myself qualified to tutor in many areas. If you are interested in any specific topics please contact me and we can discuss it and my relevant experience in it. While I have experience tutoring around learning disabilities, I am not a professional. I do not feel that I can effectively handle very serious cases which require trained professional tutoring. That said, I am very open and willing to work with moderate/less severe cases where I feel my experience is sufficient to be helpful in overcoming these obstacles. My motivation to tutor are both personal and financial. Though my experiences, I know I am qualified, capable, and enjoy tutoring. I am also a full time student and finding well paying work with the flexibility I need is difficult. Tutoring seems like a natural fit.
